Dr. Vibha Jawa, PhD, FAAPS (PRESIDENT)

Dr. Vibha Jawa is an Executive Director for Biotherapeutics Bioanalysis in Nonclinical Disposition and Bioanalysis (NDB) organization at Bristol Myers Squibb. Vibha is responsible for leading biotherapeutic and cell /gene therapy bioanalytical (BA) function supporting DMPK and immunogenicity, and provide strategic and scientific oversight for BMS developmental portfolio. Vibha previously led the Predictive and Clinical Immunogenicity group at Merck and supported Discovery to Development for biotherapeutics at Amgen before that. Vibha has 20+ years of experience in diverse fields of biologics, vaccine development and gene therapy with successful support of 20 + IND, BLA and MAA filings. Vibha is a recognized leader in Bioanalysis and Immunogenicity with 75+ peer-reviewed publications and serves as a Reviewer and Editor for The AAPS Journal and J. Pharm Sci. She is an active member of multiple scientific societies and consortiums. As a wife and mother of two, Vibha also enjoys gardening, cooking and traveling with her family.


Amanda Asterita

of Middletown has more than 25 years of experience in the Community and Human Services field. She is an RID nationally certified American Sign Language Interpreter working in New York and New Jersey and has a B.S. in Community and Human Services from Empire State University. She supports STEAMpark’s mission as a volunteer American Sign Language teacher in after-school programs. Married with two daughters, she is dedicated to helping children learn and grown and has coached youth soccer for the last 12 years.


ANN RICE (TREASURER)

Ann Rice has been a part of STEAMpark’s Board of Trustees since 2022 as our treasurer. She is a financial executive that has experience in financial reporting, corporate compensation, Human Resources, accounting, cost modeling, and global project management. Ann is an expert at delivering complex financial information to senior panels. Some of her experience includes serving as an Interim Controller, a Chief Administration Officer, and Director of Human Resources and Compensation with various companies. Ann received her Bachelors of Science from Colorado State University, where she studied Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.


April McKenzie-Creech

of Brick is the Director of Operations for Guardian Morris County, which is the first Detox and Residential facility in New Jersey for juveniles struggling with addiction. She joined the board of STEAMpark to continue her work advocating for marginalized youth and revitalizing underserved communities. She has an extensive history working with youth of all ages, ethnicities, and socioeconomic status. She has 25 years of experience in social work during which she provided guidance to adolescents to help them navigate generational poverty, systemic oppression, mental health, and substance abuse issues.


Cynthia Inzano

of Somerset is a Senior Principal Scientist at Bristol Myers Squibb. She has more than 25 years of experience working in the fields of biology, immunology, and cell biology. She completed her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Biology from Georgian Court University and is working toward her doctorate in Molecular Biosciences at Seton Hall University. She joined the board after serving the last two years as a volunteer/mentor for two STEAMpark programs. She is excited to be part of STEAMpark and to find ways to share her knowledge and experience through mentorship and inspiring the next generation of scientists.


Subha Sundararajan, MD

of Holmdel is a Physician Partner at Red Bank Gastroenterology, a physician member at Allied Digestive Health/Assured Health Partners, and a staff physician at Riverview Medical Center. She has been involved in multiple different community outreach programs in both local community programs and through her children’s school system. Her husband and two children are also very involved participants, keen on making a difference, and as a family they love working together for meaningful causes to give back what they can when they can.


Vinita Pitchumoni, MD

of Holmdel is an emergency room pediatrician at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Because she sees firsthand the inequities and issues facing children from under resourced and at-risk communities every day, she feels it’s a privilege to be in a board leadership position with STEAMpark as it works to confront these issues and lift children up. She’s been involved in multiple international medical missions through NGOs to areas such as Jordan, Uganda, and Sierra Leone. She’s also been involved in her local community through 180 Turning Lives Around as a Domestic Violence Advocate. She and her twin boys founded a nonprofit organization, Got Books NJ, where they distribute donated school supplies and books to children in underserved areas.


Al Conhagen (TRUSTEE AT LARGE, 2021-2022 BOARD PRESIDENT)

Al has been in the Enterprise Software industry for the past twenty-five years, leading large, global sales organizations. Throughout Al’s career, he has specialized in building business, most recently to over $400M annually. For the last fifteen years, Al has been heading Medidata/Dassult Systems Commercial/Mid Size account business, focused solely in the Life Sciences industry. Al started his career in his family’s business which has operations in New Orleans, Houston and San Francisco and has been Chairman of that organization’s Board since 2012.

Matthew Cohen, Esq (TRUSTEE AT LARGE)

Matthew Cohen initially joined STEAMpark, INC as the President of its original Advisory Board in 2017. He now serves as the chair of STEAMpark, INC’s Governance Committee. He is the CEO of the Two Rivers Title Family of Companies, headquartered in Little Silver, NJ. Matthew is also a partner in the Law Offices of Cohen & Howard, LLP, a boutique law practice dedicated to providing legal services to the out-of-network medical community. He is a Trustee for the Monmouth Bar Association and a Consultor for the New Jersey State Bar Association, advising on proposed or pending legislation concerning Real Property Trusts and Estates. Matthew also serves as Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the Monmouth Conservation Foundation. He received his B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University- New Brunswick and his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law- Newark.


Margaret Mancuso (DEVELOPMENT CHAIR)

Margaret “Marty” Mancuso EdD, is a health care executive with 30 years of expertise in healthcare operations, policy, regulation, and patient advocacy. Marty has held various leadership roles in Connecticut and New York City hospitals. She recently she served as the Chief Administrative Officer at Gracie Square Hospital an affiliate member of the New York-Presbyterian Hospital. She held pervious leadership roles at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Continuum Health Partners in NYC. In Connecticut her work included serving as the Client Rights Officer advocating for behavioral health patients. Marty is the co-founder of the Tour of the Litchfield Hills Cycling event which benefits patients undergoing treatment in Northwest, CT. She holds a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Hartford, and a Master’s Degree in Health Policy / Advocacy from Sarah Lawrence College.


TIFFANY HAMMONDS (Trustee at Large)

Tiffany is a senior research scientist at Bristol Myers Squibb. As a former college athlete, she is also a proud mother of a pre-teen athlete and scholar. Tiffany joined the board after first volunteering as a mentor in one of STEAMpark’s after school programs in downtown Trenton. She’s thrilled to help inspire and support the next generation of scientists and leaders in critically necessary STEM jobs of the future.


 

Tom Santry (Trustee at Large)

Tom Santry joined the Board of Trustees for STEAMpark, INC in order to fulfill his desire to find ways to support educational opportunities for children in need. He has been a Land Surveyor in and around Monmouth County for 23 years. As a long time philanthropist in New Jersey, he is very familiar with state and federal regulations for nonprofit organizations. He is a past Chairman of the Fair Haven Historic Preservation Commission and past Commodore of the Shrewsbury Yacht Club. He collaborated with TS Madson II on Madson, On New Jersey Real Property Boundary Law, published Jan 1991. He received his B.A. Degree from Villanova University.

David Wyman (Trustee at Large)

David Wyman, MPA is President and CEO of Gracie Square Hospital. Mr. Wyman has 20 years of expertise in healthcare operations and management, and currently leads the redevelopment and revitalization of Gracie Square Hospital. Prior to joining Gracie Square Hospital, Mr. Wyman spent 15 years in varying progressive roles as part of Continuum Health Partners in NYC. Most recently, Mr. Wyman served as Vice President of Administration at the Mount Sinai Health System for Mount Sinai Roosevelt and Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospitals. There he focused his expertise in the areas of operations management, finance and revenue cycle, information technology integration and implementation, quality and performance improvement and change management. Mr. Wyman also currently sits on the board of the National Association of Behavioral Healthcare and the Advisory Council of LiLY Legacies. He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Health Policy and Management from New York University and a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Florida.

Mike Vencel (TRUSTEE AT LARGE, BOARD PRESIDENT EMERITUS)

Mike Vencel has a 30-year background in information technology and currently serves as President of Comport Technology and Healthcare Solutions, based in Ramsey, NJ. He is responsible for leading Comport’s strategy, sales, operations, marketing and technology teams. Mike began his career as a Senior Analyst at Accenture, leading system integration projects at Fortune 100 healthcare companies and government agencies. He later joined Infinite Technology Group where he developed and sold complex professional and managed services solutions focusing on financial and dot-com industries. Mike sits on several executive technology company advisory councils, including Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Qumulo, Cohesity and Veeam. Mike graduated from Bentley University with a B.S. in Finance.


Deborah Degnan (Board Secretary, Emeritus)

Deborah Degnan became a trustee in 2020 because she strongly believes in the importance of its mission. She knows the significance of the impact STEAMpark has on local communities, after serving in various roles for the organization (including staff member and volunteer) since 2017. Deborah was previously at the Center for Holocaust, Human Rights & Genocide Education, a 501(c)3 at Brookdale Community College, where she worked primarily on educational and fundraising events. Prior to that, she spent the bulk of her career on the business side of the Television/Media Production and Post Production industry in New York City. Deborah earned her BA in English Literature with a minor in French, and her MA in English Literature, both from Seton Hall University.
