CATEGORIES OF PROGRAMS

  • STEMgirls Online Workshops

STEAMpark’s flagship program is the STEMgirls Online Weekly Workshops, an exciting full-year online learning program. These synchronous 2-hour classes are hosted by state-certified teachers who teach NGSS science, math, literacy and coding (JavaScript) to 3rd-8th grade girls. In addition to lectures, slides and hands-on experiments every week, students are encouraged to attend weekly Coding and STEM Hangouts for extra projects with teachers.

All project materials are provided, as well as small incentives to students who engage on a regular basis. Program partners for STEMgirls, past and present, include Mount Sinai Hospital, a NASA agency, Bristol Myers Squibb, and Instinet.
